Your dental trip should begin with a conversation, before a flight reservation. Use this checklist to organize a visit to OG Center and keep the practical details in one place.
1. Start with your goals and a preliminary plan
Are you exploring All-on-4 / All-on-X, a single dental implant or a complete smile makeover? Tell the team what you would like to change and what questions you already have. If you have an existing U.S. estimate, ask how to share it for discussion.
A phone conversation helps you understand the next steps. It does not replace the clinical examination needed to finalize treatment. Ask which records are useful and how the clinic would like to receive them; avoid sending sensitive records through public comments.
2. Confirm the visit before choosing flights
- Request appointment dates and the expected length of each treatment stage.
- Ask whether you should plan for more than one trip.
- Discuss flexibility if your examination changes the proposed plan.
- Check when the treating dentist expects you to be ready to travel home.
- Ask whether a companion will be needed for any part of your visit.
When comparing flight options, confirm the arrival airport with the team. OG Center is in the San José area, in Curridabat. Share your arrival time, flight number and a contact number once your arrangements are confirmed.
3. Check your travel documents
Costa Rica requires a valid passport and proof of return or onward travel. Visa rules and other requirements depend on your nationality and travel history. Review the Costa Rica Tourism Board’s entry requirements and the airline’s requirements before purchasing tickets. Do not assume that living in the United States gives every traveler the same entry rights.
4. Put your stay and transportation in writing
Ask the OG Center team about the options available for your dates. Confirm the accommodation name, nights included, accessibility needs, companion charges and cancellation conditions. For transportation, clarify the meeting point, contact person, covered routes and any additional charges.
Keep one simple arrival note on your phone: flight details, accommodation address, clinic address, pickup instructions and the number to call if your flight changes. A package description is a starting point; your own written confirmation should identify exactly what is included.
5. Budget for the complete journey
Compare treatment, provisional and final restorations, flights, accommodation, local transportation and any return visit. Ask your insurer what is and is not covered when you travel for planned dental care. Keep room in your budget and calendar for changes.
